Frequently asked questions

How do I view or edit my RSVP responses?

1) Find your email with your response confirmation

The email should look like this:

Don’t worry, you can’t RSVP twice. Feel free to edit your responses as you need.

2) Scroll down to the details and Click Edit Response

3) Make sure it says Will attend, the Total is correct, and if you have an unnamed plus one, click Let the host know who is coming

4) On the next screen, make sure your dietary requirements are correct. Scroll down to answer for each person in the group. Be sure to Submit for your guests

What is the dress code?

Garden Party! We really don’t mind what you wear but if you want some guidance, think cocktail attire with a colorful, daytime twist.

For women, this means a dress or a nice jumpsuit. For men, a suit or a sport coat with slacks. Tie optional. Feel free to have fun with patterns and accessories!

A lot of the day will be outside in the (hopefully) hot British summer. We’ll move into a marquee in the evening but you may want a sweater. Some of the afternoon will be spent on the lawn, so we strongly suggest you wear flats, sandals or wedges instead of stilettos.

Come prepared to ceilidh in the evening!

When & Where is the event?

See our when & where page for details.

Do you have a registry?

We do not! We kindly request no gifts for our wedding. Celebrating with you is what we care about most!

How do I get to the venue?

There is ample parking if you prefer to drive. Or the wedding bus! See more info at the bottom of the page.

Taxi:

Didcot Parkway is the closest rail station and can be reached directly from Oxford/Birmingham and London.

How to get from Heathrow to Oxford? The Oxford Airline bus is by far the most convenient (https://www.theairline.co.uk) but it is also possible to take the Elizabeth line or the Heathrow Express and then the train.

What is a Ceilidh?

A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering that involves folk music and dancing. The beauty of a ceilidh is that everyone can take part, from young to old, experienced dancers to absolute beginners, and even those with two left feet! We'll have a "Caller" who will walk us through the steps for each dance, so there's nothing to be worried about!

How do I ride the wedding bus?

Remember, the bus will leave without you! Be prepared with a taxi backup from the list above if you miss it.

This coach will leave Didcot Parkway train station promptly at 12:30. The coach will stop in one of the coach spaces in the forecourt immediately out the front of the station.

It will leave the Marriott promptly at 12:45, arriving to the venue around 1pm.

It will depart the venue at 11pm, dropping off at the Marriott and then the train station. Note: the Premier Inn is directly across the street from the Marriott. It will be an easy three minute walk from the bus drop off to the venue to avoid super narrow roads.
