Frequently asked questions
What is the dress code?
Garden Party! We really don’t mind what you wear but if you want some guidance, think cocktail attire with a colorful, daytime twist.
For women, this means a dress or a nice jumpsuit. For men, a suit or a sport coat with slacks. Tie optional. Feel free to have fun with patterns and accessories!
A lot of the day will be outside in the (hopefully) hot British summer. We’ll move into a marquee in the evening but you may want a sweater. Some of the afternoon will be spent on the lawn, so we strongly suggest you wear flats, sandals or wedges instead of stilettos.
Come prepared to ceilidh in the evening!
When & Where is the event?
See our when & where page for details.
Do you have a registry?
We do not! We kindly request no gifts for our wedding. Celebrating with you is what we care about most!

What is a Ceilidh?
A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering that involves folk music and dancing. The beauty of a ceilidh is that everyone can take part, from young to old, experienced dancers to absolute beginners, and even those with two left feet! We'll have a "Caller" who will walk us through the steps for each dance, so there's nothing to be worried about!
